TORRINGTON, Conn. — Premium Rifle shafts have earned the honor of being the steel shaft that great players turn to for great results. This weekend Rifle proudly claimed their first win of the year on the European Tour with a victory at the Holden New Zealand Open in Auckland.

“After winning three of the first six PGA events of 2005, we’re happy to begin our European season with equal success,” says John Lauchnor, president and CEO of Royal Precision. “Premium Rifle steel shafts are helping players achieve the level of performance and consistency they need. Providing such technologically advanced products, like the Rifle Project X, is why professional players continue to turn to Royal Precision for outstanding performance and winning results.”

Rifle steel shafts incorporate four unique technologies, making them unlike any other steel shaft on the market. Only Rifle shafts offer: Frequency Matching that perfectly matches a set of clubs through electronic calibration; Stepless Design Technology that eliminates energy-robbing ‘steps’ found on most other steel shafts, providing greater accuracy and a smooth, yet solid, feel at impact; Patented Internal ‘Rifling’ that transfers energy more efficiently than other steel shafts, reduces vibration and increases distance; and advanced Flighted Technology that produces variable ball trajectories for different clubs within a single set.

Rifle shafts won more than 40 tournaments in 2004 including the Scottish Open, Volvo PGA Championship, Deutsche Bank-SAP Open, Telcom Italia Open, Heineken Classic and the ANZ Championship. Already chalking up its first international win, this year is shaping up to be another tremendously successful year for Royal Precision and Rifle-branded products.
