Dubai Desert Classic |

TORRINGTON, Conn. — As
the Dubai Desert Classic celebrated its 15th anniversary
at the Emirates Golf Club, home to the Middle East’s
first grass course, premium Rifle steel shafts were celebrating
their second consecutive win on the European Tour. This
week, the Dubai champion heated up the course with Rifle
Flighted shafts, finishing with a 19-under 269 to win.
“
Royal Precision is always striving to produce the most
technologically advanced shafts available, and the Rifle
line is an excellent example of our engineers’ dedication
to superior performance,” says John Lauchnor, president
and CEO of Royal Precision. “The winning Rifle Flighted
shafts are the product of a revolutionary concept developed
through exclusive ‘Flex Distribution Technology’ and
perfected on Tour. This unique shaft design gives a golf
club an exaggerated change in kick point that manipulates
ball flight. For example, long irons assembled with Rifle
Flighted shafts possess a lower kick point for higher ball
flight, easier launch and greater distance, while short
irons offer a higher kick point for a lower trajectory,
greater accuracy and control.”
Often considered the world’s most advanced steel
shaft, Rifle shafts incorporate four unique technologies
to generate unparalleled performance and consistency. Only
Rifle steel shafts offer: Frequency Matching that perfectly
matches a set of clubs through electronic calibration;
Stepless Design Technology that eliminates the energy-robbing ‘steps’ found
on most other steel shafts, and provides greater accuracy
and a smooth, yet solid, feel at impact; Patented Internal ‘Rifling’ that
transfers energy more efficiently than other steel shafts,
reduces vibration and increases distance; and advanced
Flighted Technology that features produces variable ball
trajectories for different clubs within a single set.
The Dubai Desert Classic is the second European Tour win
of the early 2005 season for Rifle shafts. Last year, Rifle
won more than 40 tournaments internationally, including
the Scottish Open, Volvo PGA Championship, Deutsche Bank-SAP
Open, Telcom Italia Open, Heineken Classic and the ANZ
Championship. |
