Away with BMW Asian Open |

TORRINGTON, Conn. — With
their 12th victory of the 2005 PGA and European Tours,
premium Rifle steel shafts won the BMW Asian Open this
weekend. This year’s champion played Rifle Flighted
steel shafts to run away with the tournament, shooting
a bogie-free 7-under 65 for an amazing 13-stroke victory.
“
Royal Precision has always strived to produce the most
technologically advanced shafts available, and the Rifle
Flighted is another great example of our superior performance,” says
John Lauchnor, president and CEO of Royal Precision. “Rifle
Flighted shafts offer a unique stepless design that have
already claimed five wins this year with custom ball flight
engineering. For example, long irons assembled with Rifle
Flighted shafts possess a lower kick point for higher ball
flight, easier launch and greater distance, while short
irons offer a higher kick point for a lower trajectory,
greater accuracy and control.”
A revolutionary concept developed through exclusive Flex
Distribution Technology™ and perfected on the PGA
and European Tours, Rifle Flighted iron shafts feature
different flex points to manipulate ball flight and produce
variable ball trajectories for different clubs within a
single set. Rifle Flighted shafts are available in flexes
4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 6.5 and 7.0.
In addition to advanced Flighted Technology, Rifle steel
shafts also incorporate three other distinctly unique technologies
to generate unparalleled performance and consistency and
to make them the world’s most advanced steel shafts.
Only Rifle steel shafts offer: Frequency Matching that
perfectly matches a set of clubs through electronic calibration;
Stepless Design Technology that eliminates the energy-robbing ‘steps’ found
on most other steel shafts, and provides greater accuracy
and a smooth, yet solid, feel at impact; Patented Internal ‘Rifling’ that
transfers energy more efficiently than other steel shafts,
reduces vibration and increases distance; as well as the
Flighted Technology.
The BMW Asian Open is the third European Tour win of the
early 2005 season for Rifle shafts. Last year, Rifle won
more than 40 tournaments worldwide, including the Scottish
Open, Volvo PGA Championship, Deutsche Bank-SAP Open, Telcom
Italia Open, Heineken Classic and the ANZ Championship.
